Dance seminar - Nobody puts baby in an archive box!

A conversation about archives and historical sources as a basis for artistic expression, for one's own dancing and for educational work. How do you dance in the archives? How does the archive work in the dancing body?

The panel consists of:

Liv Aira - Sami dancer, choreographer, and dance filmmaker

Kicki Djärv - dancer and educator in folk dance

Anna Björk - dancer and educator in folk dance and dance archivist at the Swedish Song Archives

The conversation is led by Linnea Helmersson, PhD student in ethnology with focus on folk dance

Grim, Umeå Folkets Hus. To attend the seminar, you need a festival ticket at Umefolk.

Later in the evening, dance films will be shown in Miklagård, both newly made films and the best clips from the archives.
