Hoven Droven
Hoven Droven is considered one of Sweden's biggest folk-rock bands and it combines folk music with modern rock into a distinctive fiddle rock style. The mix of traditional music, rhythmic digressions, and distorted guitars is their hallmark. It's intense, it's joyful and it's inspiring. Hoven Droven is one of the country's most engaging live acts, and whether you are bitten by the folk music bug or not, you can't stand still when this band performs its works!
The band was started in 1989 and over the years has managed to win a Danish Grammy for best foreign folk music album (2001), be nominated for a Grammy for their album 'Jumping at the Cedar' (2007), and tour the world. In 2011, the band's seventh album "Rost" was released, which is strong proof that the band and its members have not reduced the intensity, joy and breadth of their music.
