Children’s performance: Work with music
Elin and Kristina offer folk music from northern Sweden with the help of violin and pedal organ. Between songs, they talk about the music and the instruments – how does a pedal organ actually work and how many strings does a violin have? Armed with courage and a screwdriver, we work together on the instruments! In the north, the pedal organ has been very common in homes and schools but also in performances for dances and parties. The songs are local but rarely heard in today's media. The duo wants to invite the audience to a meeting of folk music mainly from Sweden’s two most northern regions - Norrbotten and Västerbotten, where the music can be boisterous, restful, captivating, and melancholic.
